XIV. Balkan ARDF Championship

Dear Friends!

In 2019 Moldova plans to host the ARDF Balkan Championship for the second time. Back in 2006 this Championship was for the first time hosted by Bulgaria, organized and coordinated by Panayot Danev LZ1US BFRA.

In 2019 the Balkan Championship will have its 14th anniversary. The interest to this competition was permanently ascending, all its editions having not less than 10-11 participating teams. This competition is also attractive due to its loyal pricing policy: the price is moderate, while the competitors participate in 3 courses, based on IARU rules. Balkan region Countries (in alphabetical order): Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Greece, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia and Turkey.

During last years, the Balkan Championship is increasingly becoming attractive for non-Balkan competitors, many of them even trying their forces at the Championship but not being ranked.  In order to fix this unfairness, in 2019 the 14th Balkan ARDF Championship will be held along with the European Cup, hosting as well the participants from non-Balkan countries.

The ranking and scoring will be organized separately for the Championship and for the Cup,  as well as separately for each course. The team scoring will not be performed, therefore the number of participants from each team in any of categories is not limited.

            Age groups: Female- 14,16,18, 21, 35, 50, 60, Male - 14, 16,18,21, 40, 50, 60, 70.

Junior teams M/F -14, 16 will have a good opportunity to test their abilities before the World Youth Championship, that will be held shortly after our competitions. Once the Balkan Championship and the European Cup are over, there is also a possibility to stay in Moldova to train and prepare for the 3th World Youth ARDF Championship, which will be held in Vinnitsa, Ukraine (260 km away from Moldova). It will be a perfect opportunity, being provided the fact that the climate and landscape conditions in Moldova are identic to Ukrainian ones.

Respectfully yours,

Organizing committee of the Balkan Championship and European Cup

73 to all of you!
